There are so many posts from beginners asking which one is better to start. (I was one to) there sould be a stickie thread that lists what detectors for a beginners and so on. Just an idea, I know in thw coin roll huntinf section there is a beginner stickie. Just thought id throw my 2 cents in.

It is a good idea. The problem comes in directing them to the site. Also, they will always get many different opinions on which is the best machine for a beginner. The truth is, it depends on your budget, the soil you will search, the targets you seek, etc. There is no "best " detector. As is always true in life..."It Depends..."
