Just Covering the Basics!

Got out for a full day of detecting at my new multi - site spot and picked up a few more keepers. Highlights are the initialled clay pipe bowl and the engraved tombac button. The tombac is a highlight because on my last hunt I found a complete one with the same engraving. Also picked up a complete jaw harp which is rare for me for some reason. Good hunt, lots of targets and lots of chances.

The crown and harp token was the easiest recovery of the day!

That's what I thought as well...just couldn't figure out the hinged flaps...now I know.

Pipe is Thomas Dormer...1748-1770. Dates perfectly with the site I found it.
