What about pinpointing, where does it pinpoint for you, at what part of the coil? Thanks

I went out for a couple hours yesterday, to a hard worked field. Unfortunately, I did not make any keeper finds with my new S-12, but found a couple deep objects and got some practice with it and my S-1 probe, which was awesome. Like MacArthur said, "I will return".

pinpoint for me is at the top edge of the coil.it will take a little practise,but soon you will be good at it.

I have found that all of my DD coils tend to pinpoint off the front edge of the coil. I have the WOT 15 inch and have no problem pinpointing deep targets. I have dug 20 plus inch items of reasonably small size and found them exactly in that spot. I just wobble the coil left and right till I am sure I have the target centered on the coil, then move the coil back slowly doing the same thing until the target goes quiet. That is when I set the coil flat on the ground to insure I get a fix on the center of the leading edge. I then pull the coil away keeping my eye on that spot and I make my first dig with my digger about 3 inches toward me from that point. Find the target to be just in the center of my plug everytime. Takes some practice but it works. I will try to do a video. I have a new camera and computer with editing software to try out.
