Bought my new Fisher F2 about a year ago and, like all newbies, searched my yard over and over. Mostly clad, but did find a 1963 dime beside the driveway...so, a little silver. Dug some good size holes around the concrete driveway before I realized rebar was making me an idiot digger. Went to Oak Island, NC for a family gathering and tried the beach for the first time, but even setting the sensitivity very low, I kept getting false readings all around the wet sand area. Gave up and tried the dry sand and had luck. Dug a strong signal that read as a dime. Six inches later, I see a glint of shiny metal. Turned out to be the top of a sardine can. My brother and his wife got a laugh watching me dig it and extract it. I made him take it up the house to throw it away. Anyhow, been so hot here in Jacksonville, that I just haven't gotten out. Cooler weather is coming, so I will get out...and post some pics if I come up with anything worthwhile.
