The ground is still soft in the woods!

Kimsdad & I were out playing this afternoon for about 2-hours and
were both pleasantly surprised that the leaves are doing their job.

Not much was accomplished silver-wise but there were still a
few old buttons and a Variety 1 Buff (1913 on raised mound).
Oh, and some poor soul's Ford car key :P.

Good job! I went out last Monday, right after the bad weather, though down here, we only got a little snow. However, my 3 hours in the cold was much less productive, netting only 4 pull tabs and a couple of shotgun brass. But the point is ground is dig-able :icon_sunny: At least in the forest its good. Last year I was digging throughout January. Missed most of Feb due to it snowing all the time. Digging is a go; it's just slightly harder to hear the good deeper targets and a little easier to hear the surface junk.

Great hunt, Mark! I've been thinking about getting out. Just might get to it!

You guys are having a good time detecting again. Thats how you find the goods all year round.
HUNT for it!! Thanks for sharing your finds.

That Ford key was probably lost on purpose. If the car was anything like my '89 Ford Tempo or '84 Escort, they would have chucked the key into the woods and let the car accidentally fall off a bridge.

Good to see you have still been getting out! Those buttons are nice.

Yeah Man!

But I'm on hold for the time being. Hoping for 40+ temps.
