A true newbie reporting here:
I had a few hours of beautiful weather to try to learn a little about my new Ace 250...and dig up a yard.
Needless to say, I have a lot to learn.
I am even ashamed to post a pic of whatever it was that I actually dug up. Rusty thingy. No clue what it use to be.
I got lots and lots of hits...thought I was in treasure heaven..lol.
But to my surprise, the area I was in at the edge of the woods is veined with HUGE tree and bush roots starting at about 3 inches down.
No matter how hard I tried, I could not reach any of the targets. They were all buried under thick ( 3 and 4 inch thick) roots. I would have needed an ax to chop my way through them.
and I couldn't do that to Mother Nature.
After working for 20 minutes to free "something" from under a huge root, I finally decided I was not meant to have it, and filled the hole back up.
So I spent most of the time testing out the different settings and sounds on each target I heard.
That's cool though, cause I certainly need to learn all about this wonderful machine.
Maybe I will have better luck next time... with something for show and tell.
This is just the beginning of an adventure.

Until next time,
