K of P plate

Has anyone ever seen one of these old brass Knights of Pythias plates? I know that they were organized in 1864, but I'm not sure how soon after that these plates were produced. I would love to hear from anyone who can date this plate for me. I'm also looking to find a value for this piece.. Thanks!

Yes--a buckle, although some people call them plates. Not quite sure why!

They are called "plates" because they are solid. A buckle is not solid.
