Kaolin Inlay

Here is a piece of Ft Walton Incised that may be considered Lamar Incised. It has a kaolin inlay that is still visible. This is not typical for pottery in NW FL and is the only piece I've seen or found. Moundville and some of the other big ceremonial centers have some beautiful inlaid wares.

Very nice. I have hundreds of pottery shards and some are decorated. I really know nothing about it though. Most from Brevard County near St. Johns River.
