Kennedy half doller

I was looking at a 1972 kennedy half doller today. It has a halo around kennedys head. It is also on the back side. It is a circle that is lighter than everything else and it is almost a complete circle. Does anybody know what this would be? I tried to take a picture but it didnt show anything. thanks

Probably just the way the coin is toned. Often if a coin is left in a paper roll, the outer area of the coin tones darker than the center.
