"Kentuckiana" I wonder who came up with that name for this area?

I have just started searching parks in Clark county Indiana.We have lived here for a few years. Quite a few parks in the area. Anyone know of any local ordinances on detecting? I haven't even had anyone ask me what I was doing so I didn't figure there are much if any restrictions.

I learned something--that counties straddle state lines, but I have no idea WHO came up with the name.

I know state parks don't allow detecting also federal parks are off limits to detecting. Usually the city and county parks allow detecting just make sure that your cutting nice clean plugs and using a hand towel to put all the dirt on from the hole to make sure you get it all back in there then when done retrieving the target just fold the towel in half and pour in back in the hole and put the plug back. There's a good chance if you call someone to ask about it you will get someone that doesn't know sitting behind a desk and they will tell you no just to be on the safe side, that way it doesn't come back on them for saying yes. Your better off looking up the rules and regulations for the parks online and just be very neat with your plugs, I usually cut mine like a horseshoe rounded in the front and straight in the back so the plug will only go back in one way, then step in down real nice and you can't even tell someone dug a hole there. HH
