Had an 1876 Home lined up for my detecting partner and myself. Got out there early and my first dig was the 1875 Semi Key date Indian Head. This penny is a blazer with full Liberty on the head band. I have already taken it to my local coin dealer who has graded it at XF 45 ! I sure am glad it was in a yard with good dirt instead of a field where they aren't in as good of shape because of the fertilizer. I also dug the Grant $1.00 coin, then it was downhill from there for me. My detecting partner pulled the 1877 CC Seated Liberty Quarter. 3 hours, 25 clad, and a few knick knacks later, and our hunt was over. Sure is good to be getting out and finally pulling some nice coins again.

That Indian really looks nice.

That Indian is amazing, the ground was kind to it, congrats!:headbang:

That's a killer Indian, nice Grant, congrats on your saves & congrats to your partner on the CC Seated

Great finds. That Indian cleaned up nice. Any tricks you can share, as I found an 1869 key date I would like to clean up a bit more? Anyway, congrats on some nice saves.

Nice job on a rare Indian and congrats to your friend on the CC. That's a neat dig.

All I did to this coin, was water it off and gave it a light brushing with a soft bristled tooth brush. No other tricks for this one. It was just in some very nice dirt in this particular yard. On some Indians that are from the fields I hunt, I will clean them off then soak them in Virgin Olive Oil for a week. If you have an 1869 Key date, I don't think I'd do that. I would just leave any key date alone and leave it as found.

Nice! I dug an 1875 this weekend, too. Love that quarter as well.

Congrats on you and partners finds
