Key Date 1885 "V" Nickle ! New Pic added!

Its pretty worn. But it is what it is. I mostly hunt civil war relics but when a good coin pops up I get a little excited. I did not even look real well at this coin in the field. I thought it was a half cent until I got home. Now that was a nice surprise when I seen it was the 85 "V"...

This is the best I can do right now. Its pretty worn and the camera I am using is not the greatest for close ups.

First, congratulations on one of the key date V nickels! You'll remember this one.

Coin has issues as you likely already know: corrosion, pitting, patina, etc.

Coin also has a complete and clear date. One of the stars looks to have exceptional detail (rays) for a coin this old, which suggests other details may also be present.

I'd suggest contacting a chemist or pharmacist before doing any cleaning. The 3 spots on the coin look metallic (lead? iron?) so additional care should be taken with any cleaning.
