In "the black book" it is stated that Jesse James had several properties in what is now New Mexico (the way I understood the book).
It also says that JJ rescued Maximillan and set him up in New Mexico.
It also says JJ insisted that Pancho Villa live at one of JJ properties in New Mexico.

So, has any one found in your research where any of these properties might be located in New Mexico?

The book is very vague about any locations.

Seems to me, that these properties and/or the area around them might be fun to explore.

Any info would be appreciated.

"Black BooK"...?

Its the book by Del Schrader titled "Jesse James was one of his names".
Co authored by Jesse James III. Grandson of Jesse James.

This book has been referred to in threads about KGC.

Also, it says JJ set up Maxmillian in Texas, but back then, New Mexico was part of texas at one time, owned by Spain at one period and part of Mexico during another period, all before it became New Mexico territory and then New Mexico the state, so its hard to know where they are talking about?

Yeah, I read the book, when it was "on-line" years ago; AMAZING stuff in it...

You might start around Las Vegas,N.M. It's reported Jesse and Frank met with Doc Holiday there in 1879. They were childhood friends with Winfield Scott Moore who ran a hot springs resort for those with lung problems near there. Good luck.

Thanks for the info.
JJ's Pigeon ranch is only 30 miles west of Las Vegas NM so good chance things happened in this general area.
