I had to use the company SUV today, which is shared between myself and a few others throughout the week. At a red light, I glanced into the center cupholder which doubles as a change holder. Right there on top, amongst the zinc pennies and nickel or two, was a 1949 dime. I am not a regular CRH'er, but I do check my change every time it is there, and have never found a silver dime. I took the dime and flipped it over and saw that it is an "S" mint. Cool! Only about 13 and a half million were minted...OK, so it might not be that special, but it was the second-least minted variety of Roosevelt dime between 1946 and 1964 (about 13 million 1955's [no mintmark] were produced).
OK, so it isn't a 1700's silver or LC or anything, but it made my day, between monotonous projects. Not in the best condition, it is clearly circulated, but it is MINE!! Mwuahahahaha....!!!!
