Very nice. 1/3 of all the British minted half penny's and farthings were shipped to the Mass Bay colony in Boston in 1750. It was payment for assistance in the French and Indian War. A pile of Spanish silver was sent as well. Of the 16 coins I found at my newest site most were 1749. Now we know why.
 

Amazing quantities of KG's lost , makes us very glad these coins could escape settlers pockets ........ :cool:
 

It's interesting that not only are the 1749's the most common date to come out of the ground with the KG II's, but they also seem to be in much better condition than the rest. Nice find.
