I bought this in the costume jewelry section because it was in the original box with the name "Kinney" and it is a USAF Academy Pin. The only thing I can find on Kinney is they made alot of military metals and badges from the 1920s through 1970s, but I can't figure the date of this piece. I assume it is not sterling since it isn't marked and because it is rhodium plated. The tag in the box is a metal foil tag similar to some Trifari tags I have seen. I have not seen much on sold listings that explains anything about this pin, so I can't tell if it is collectible. There are none like it active on ebay, which could mean it is worthless. Does anyone know something about the company or the age on this item? HH
