My wife and I went to Nashville this past weekend. Tragically her sister lost everything in the recent floods. We took her to lunch and got to talking about how this would be a good place to metal detect because people lost a lot of jewelry, coins etc. Her sister then told how she had gone to a nearby park last year and when she got out of the car she spied a wad of something under a car. Turns out the wad was a roll of twenties, and there was a trail......she followed it and this time found a wad of hundreds!. She found $1700 in all, told a park ranger and they investigated and found another $40. The park kept the money for a year and then she got it. They think it was a college kid on spring break that just had too much to drink.
MY sister in law bought a new recliner, unfortunately it was one of the items ruined in the flood.
I'm going back later this month with the detector.
