Knife i.d. help

Here's the third relic that I wanted to post up from the site in Vicksburg. It's a long knife. Is this a Bowie? Any knife experts out there that can weigh in? Thanks.

A Bowie would have likely had a brass guard of some sort which would still be present. it looks like a butcher knife to me
