Knights of Pythias Pendant???

Hey everyone, today we found this pendant on an old road that was used from the 1860-1910 era range and we came out with the pendant and an 1902 San Fran Barber Quarter. The pendant is about the size of a quarter (as I included for scale in the pics) and has a gold gilt in the middle and some black glass inlayed in it. It seems there was something in the center that broke off at one point. Our friend said it was similar to his Knights of Pythias pendant he has so we appreciate the help.

It appear's to NOT to be a K.O.P. cross as their's is squared off NOT rounded as your's...It may be an auxillary of a fraternal org.Most likely just a peice of jewlery that without any marking's will be almost impossible to I.D. I will continue to look at some of my book's to try&confirm it's I.D. You can do a simple search on epay(ebay)of K.O.P. badges,pennats,etc. I have had many fraternal button's,badge's,ribbon's,etc.And personally have NOT seen a rounded maltese cross except for the Fireman(s)Brotherhood...Good Luck&HAPPY HUNTING..ALL!!!

this FOB has the same shape as yours, prob not the lettering as we cant see yours

That really is close! Thanks for the suggestion, without the lettering there really is not way to tell for certain

i tried to find another no go, the one i posted seems odd, as one side is The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF)
as the F, L and T, (Friendship, Love and Truth) is the OOF motto
on the other side is of the one i posted is P.O.S. of A. Patriotic Order Sons of America, i checked at the website
and didnt see anything close to the Fob you have or the one i posted, maybe some Co. does custom jobs on
that type of cross, it is odd that it has 2 organizations on one piece, what state did you find it in
