LA Times Article!

Seems like this past winter dumped a ton of overburden on all my spots.

Nice article! However, I spent the first hour or two with the reporters at our outing, demonstrating how to set up a sluice, what to look for, etc., and I couldn't even get an honorable mention? Damn!

39 days over 100 and 108-110+ for the next week or so. That rush is a trickle up here as all is burned or dried out FAST. .John

This weather sucks!

John,

Same down here in LA LA land, hotter than the hubs of hell as my late father used to say. My drywasher and sluice have become housing for spiders. I don't recall having this kind of summer before where we are getting the humidity and rain from the monsoons that normally hit Arizona, not Los Angeles. October can't get here fast enough for me:BangHead:

112-118 now so no way I'm going out as even so humid early am now also-John

The weather for the California's future is a hotter and more tropical climate.Things go in cycles and people weren't around to witness and live in past climates.

looks like its trending, picked up on MSN
what regulations have prohibited, nature has allowed, and with all the water blasting through these mountains, prospectors have a new kick in their step.
With prospects, they're panning like it's 1849
