These are a few shots from a bike ride I took yesterday on the trails in Boulder County, Colorado which I live. Around 50% of the county has been set aside for open space lands. They're really nice to explore, because motor vehicles are off limits, with the exception of ebikes latey it seem and that is adding a few more folks that normally weren't out and about on the trails before those came along. I started around 7:am which at that time the temperature was in the 60s. Three hours later it was up into the high 80s. There's a place some bald eagles have nested now for a few years and I did see one from a distance perched in a dead cottonwood. Just a little toad on the trail is the only wildlife I took a picture of.

That's some beautiful country. I wonder what the range is on the average eBike in rough terrain like that.

I don't know. Most are peddle assist, so the more you peddle the farther they go. They might even be regenitve charge breaking and going down hill on some of the more expensive ones. They're sure selling well around here. Guess they really help in going up steep hills. I was thinking of getting the kit to retrofit a regular bike, just to have on hand in my truck incase I break down or just explode some of the places I go.

I really liked the Eastern slopes of the mountains.
Did a few tours in around Boulder/Golden areas. Gee that's 40yrs ago now. Last trip was in /93 we kind of dipped down on the road map while heading out west.
