IMG_0441.webp on Labor Day Sue and I hunted a school built in 1950 but now permanently closed. We have no idea what the building's future is so we figured we'd get in one last hunt here. The hunt lasted two hours and we dug 44 coins worth $7.11. Nothing out of the ordinary was found.

Always fun I have a lot of clad days but the fun is what you might find cause that prize shows up just enough. Glad you 2 had fun. Tommy

That's $7.11 that can be put towards your next upgrade! It looks like you had a fund Labor Day!

Thanks Tommy.....we were hoping to maybe grab one more silver coin from this place before it becomes inaccessible but it was not to be....a lot of fun though, regardless.

Thanks secondstar, but some of that $7.11 belongs to Sue. I always spend my clad finds on silver and gold at the end of the hunt season and she spends her finds on Christmas shopping. At age 73 I'm done upgrading anyway. :laughing7:

Nice coin shooting:icon_thumleft:

Lots of clad is still lots of money. WTG and Keep swingin.

Lots of clad digs=MONEY in the pocket. Nice huntin. I also hunt a couple 1950's schools that have been gone over by every detector known to man. I go to dig the deepest targets (iffy at times) just to keep tuned up. When I do get a new older site permission I'm primed and ready. Good post, thanks for sharing.

Nothing wrong with a clad day. It all adds up. Congrats.

Thanks Tuberale…….you're absolutely right, clad IS money.

Thanks Roamer.....when I got into this hobby in 1983 those older schools had quite a few silver coins left in the ground....not so any more.

Thanks Hawks......totally agree there's nothing wrong with a clad day......that's what virtually all of them are these days but I'll take a few dollars worth of clad all day, every day.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very nice pay day, congrats! :occasion14:

Thank you...….

Very nice clad haul from a school!! Those are beach numbers for me, great job

Thanks Bob......it was a better than average school haul. The schools have pretty much dried up because kids don't need to take money to school anymore. Their lunches and snacks are paid for online nowadays by their parents.

As long as your swingin' the coil, and digging coins...you're having fun. That's what it's all about. $7.11 is a nice tab. Good hunt.

Thanks...….I agree with you that having fun IS what it's all about.
