Bergie: That is Francier (SP) lake in the Lake County fairgrounds, Crown Point, Ind. They still hold the county fair there about the 2nd wk of August every year. I have lived in Lake county all my life (61yr). Lots of interesting history here. Woods

Cool. You should try to seek permission to detect it. Tell them you will turn over your finds so they can make a historical display. That should help out.

I live in Porter County almost on the Lake County line and visit the fair there nearly every year. Not sure if they would let someone TH there or not, but might have to look into it.

Snake, you should go hit porter beach, dune acres, dunes state park, mt baldy and all the way up to MC right after summers over. If your into jewelry and clad i bet you'd mop up! 8)
