When out after work for a couple hours. The last hunt had no silver but was still finding old nickels and was not expecting anything. There was an area that had a lot of poison ivy so i had stayed away from it but when I got there tonight they had gone over it with the mower so I went for it.
First signal I got was a solid 12:47 and was expecting a piece of copper pipe (must have pulled at least 10lbs over the many weeks) and out pops my 3rd half.
Kept hunting and got 2 mercs, 1905 barber, a really worn SLQ and the sterling charm with full chain.
I love this place. You can see from the one photo I'm digging everything because there might be something below it.
The barber gave me a good workout and the CTX is doing its job. In the photo you can see the piece of iron that came out from below the barber. Even with the high iron in the soil the CTX still picks up tiny stuff- look at the little eyelet in the last photo
