Large Cent! 2 bullets, odd marking

The last two days I had permission to hunt a new property to me but it had been cleaned up pretty good by a couple others. I did manage to get this 1820 large cent (my oldest coin) and these two 3 ringers. One of them has markings inside the bullet. Can anyone shed some light on these markings? Thank you! HH

I'm not sure but I think that is where it was held in the lathe. Those are turned and not poured, I think...d2

Is that really a thing? I've never heard of bullets being turned? I do know some civil war bullets did have stamps in the bottoms like stars etc.

I too am perplexed by lead bullets turned on a lathe... huh?

I am not so sure that those are CW minie balls. They kind of look like more modern black powder loads to me, could you measure the diameter, so that we could determine the gauge? I am by no means an expert on bullets. They just look kind of round and the rings seem small. If the rings have "treads" inside of them, they are modern. I posted a pic of the ones that I am used to seeing. See how big the rings are compared to yours.

Good Job Billy! The bullets are called "swaged". i have only found them in US sites. We have never found any in the camp where I took you when you first got your F75. WTG, Q.
