I have been detecting so much I haven't had time to post. This is my finds from monday thru sunday.
Monday: hit a new field, got nothing but trash.
Tuesday: winds were so strong I couldn't detect
Wednesday: hit a new field and there was bricks, glass, and iron...no keepers, went to a field across the street and finally got some keepers, found a 1918-S SLQ and 1898 indian
Thursday: went back to same field, and I got the 1851 Large cent
Friday went to a one room school site I have pounded to death, came away with the 1895 V nickel and 1869 shield nickel, and crusty 1887 indian
Saturday I went back to my penny grandslam field, farmer just leveled it out for planting so I knew new signals would appear. First signal was the 1860 fatty indian, also found 2 more crotal bells, 1889 indian, and the silver thimble, anyone know what the makers mark is from? Also got the suspender clip with the neat floral pattern, and a good for 5 cent drink token.
Sunday BarberDan came to hunt with me and we hit a field that was super trashy, all I got there was the cool buckle dated 1856, from there I went back to the field I was at wed and thurs and I got the 1911 barber dime and 1890 indian
we went into town to get a break from the crazy winds, hit an empty lot and i got the 1940 merc dime, 1944 washington, and sterling ring. Then we hit a small yard and I got the 1908 barber dime. From there we went BACK to my penny grandslam field, Dan wanted a crotal bell real bad and I thought there he would have a good shot, that field has already gave up 9 bells, well after a short while he got one! That makes 10 crotal bells from that field. I snagged a 1859 fatty indian, pretty smooth, and a small cuff button.
It was a super week filled with good finds, hope you enjoy the pics!
