Good afternoon everyone, ACOJoe, Cheffer, and I checked out a spot in the Hilltowns this morning. After quite the hike, we came to a spot that has produced large cents for us in the past. I was running my XP Deus in 25 kHz looking to light up the mid conductors. Before long I got a faint but repeatable 81. I dig, and out pops an 1863 fatty IHP. No more than 20 yards away I get a solid 96 and out pops a nice 1830 large cent. I got back on the trail, walked a few yards, and found the sterling silver moon which is actually pretty nice.

Not pictured is the pile of clad coins that I found as well. Our spots are weird in that we’ve literally found zincolns right next to colonial coppers! Thanks for looking, good luck, and happy hunting!

Congrats on the nice keepers. The LC and fatty would be a day maker. Cool Sterling moon piece also.
