Looks like some nice finds. have to love the modified large cent into a button. that would make my day.
 

Thanks. Some one told me people sown it on the inside of clothes to prove they weren't a vagrant. So they would be arrested.

Great finds. The large cent was most likely holed to make a childs whizzer toy. They would pass a string through the holes and tie it in a loop about 2 feet long then twisting the string tightly and pulling apart to make it spin. It would make a whizzing sound. I guess this would be the colonial equivalent of a modern day ipad.
 

Lol! That's great

Google colonial whizzer toy and you might see some more examples. Many of them had teeth like a round saw cut into the edges to make more noise while it spins.
