I found this a while back in a man's garden. The ironic thing is I found this in his corn rows. It was probably used in another's corn rows in that area many centuries ago. It is made out of limestone, which I thought was a little odd. Limestone is very brittle and breaks pretty easily. Not sure why they would have used it as the material. Could be that it was the only thing that they had at the time or maybe the limestone was a lot less brittle back then? The hoe is 12" wide by about 10" tall. The only thing I saw sticking out of the ground was the very top with the notches showing. If I hadn't seen the notches, I probably would have passed it up without a second thought. It was found in Garrard County, KY.
