Earlier in the year I got permission to detect at a building which started life as a tavern in 1837. The owner said it had been hunted allot but I always say it is never all found. I found an 1842 O seated liberty dime, which is a key coin, and was in excellent condition along with a silver piano charm. He told me to come back and I should check around a lake when they get it cleared. The lake was 150 yards behind the building and I never went back until yesterday with the 50 degree temps. Was I ever glad I did! I found three large pennies dated 1820, 1830, 1832 and in pretty good condition. Along with a W. Wallis flat button <1790-1830> and a few wheats it was one of my better days ever.
