This basket is from Humboldt County, and was woven by a member of the YUROK/KARUK nation.
A friend of mine who makes regalia, and ceremonial wear for the tribes told me that rarely has she seen a gathering basket of it's size to nicely decorated.
As you can see from the pictures, where it is sitting in a normal size office chair, it's in very good shape, and is quite large.
