Now that's really cool!
When I first dug it up I thought it was a piece of copper pipe the for how large it is. I was surprised to see that it was a ring.

Congratulations on the giant ring. Not many ever recovered.

I found one about 16-17 yrs ago in High Park Toronto.
Unfortunately it had a piece missing out it.

I found mine in R.I. at site that use to be a town hall. Nextdoor was a stage coach stop.

Circus Sideshow Ring.

James Grover Tarver was born in 1885 in Franklin, Texas, moved to Memphis and
retired to Arkansas so he was always a Southerner. He entered the show business in
1914 and was billed variously as "The Texas Giant", "Texas Jim" or "What-A-
Man-Tarver". Jim travelled with various circuses for 26 years and spent his time off on
his Arkansas farm. Plagued by diabetes, he died on his beloved farm in 1958 at age 72

Here's mine, it's the size of a silver dollar.
