Did 2 short hunts the last 2 Tuesdays. I went to a cellar hole that's only 8 minutes away,I figured I'd try new settings on the CTX. I hadn't found much here so low expectations. This place is littered with iron/metal so it's a challenge. First hunt got a cow bell,later part( dated Dec 10 1848) small hammer,clock part,thimble,a squashed button off a 2 piece and a brooch or necklace. I initially thought this was white gold but after reading up,I thought it might be platinum. Took it to a jeweler and he confirmed that's what it was.

Second hunt today netted a brass buckle, a non squashed button( I'm thinking militia now) and a green eyed horse thingamajig 🐒. I originally thought it was a saddle adornment but after cleaning and seeing the green cut eyes, now I'm not sure, thinking a brooch without the back. Felt great to get out, starting to feel more comfortable with the CTX
If anyone has a idea on what the button is , that would be awesome. Happy hunting
