All Treasure Hunting
1st Picture (Dad alone) exploring a new Roman Site (Land-mag if your watching, its the Copse Field)

2nd picture is Dads efforts alone on a Roman Site we done pretty well last year (V Hill) - interesting Roman Iron knife piece

The rest of the pictures are tonights short 2 hour hunt by me (on 'The Field'), with Dad helping for 30 minutes;
5 Roman Coins - one nice Galley reverse, the best of its type for the collection.
An interesting Votive? Lead Hammered,might also be a Saxon piece...

First time since the plough on this field that I went home Hammered less ::) But for 2 hours I'm happy enough :wink:

You can't get a hammered every 2 hours! That wouldn't be fair :laughing7:
 

May not have gotten hammered but at least you found some crotal and what seems to be a very sweet looking Roman.

I have no idea on the hook thing, seems to be a furniture type pull :dontknow: (Brass most likely Georgian)

Yes, I have one other (much better cast version, this ones very crude), & the thoughts were it was a Saxon Burial good :-\ . An indication of what the occuptant did in his lifetime. I know its ancient, I'm just unsure of which culture & its intended use, so a nice little mystery. Whenever unsure, play the ritual (votive) card :wink:

Thanks :icon_thumright: Not about the jealous bit, not my aim, just like sharing the history & story of Cru' & Dad diggings...
