Went down to San Francisco with two hunting buddies and started out at Golden Gate Park. The three of us hunted this one area where silver had been found a few weeks earlyer. Spent about 3 hours and I found only 2 wheat pennies and about $3.00 in clad. One wheat penny was 1 inch, the other was 6 inches. All my hunting partners had was clad coins. We decided to try another park that was about 5 miles away. Right off the bat we all found some wheat pennies, always a great sign. After 4 solid hours of hunting Reid had 5 wheat pennies, Ray had 2, and I had 5. It's unusual to find that many wheats without any silver coins. At about 6pm I yelled over to Reid that my next target would be my last for the day. We were all tired after 7 hours of hard hunting. Talk about luck! My last target was a 1963-D silver dime! After 113 dug coins for the day the best and last was a silver coin!
