What a nice end to a fantastic year of detecting. I will be posting my best finds of 2013 later. I went to a farm my uncle manages yesterday for a final 2013 hunt. My very first signal right through the gate was a colonial copper. Not much else in the field, found a few things of lead, musketball and such and a wheatie. Got home and saw some more definition in the copper and was able to identify it as a Virginia half penny. So I ended the year with another first!! Happy New years and may 2014 be an awesome year for all of us!!

Bud, you HAVE had a great year hunting & demonstrate a real passion for this hobby and history. Hope you have a great 2014, Q.

Matt,
Finding a great old piece like that right out of the gate is fantastic. Makes your day even if you don't find anything else.
Well done,
