After Xmas shopping today had a little time to go out. Pulled out some clad and after it got dark I got a great high tone with the Nox. The VID was jumpy and i thought I had a deep wheat. I was using the 6” coil and running it 4/23. Had max bars showing so I dug a deep plug. Flipped the plug and checked it. No buzz from the carrot. Checked the hole, no buzz from the carrot. Swept the Nox over the hole and still got tone. Dig the hole down and checked deeper. Got the buzz going. Thinking I’m probably hitting junk because I’m around 8” with the small coil. Out pops shiny and I see the flying eagle with the light of the pointer. There was also a nail in with the coin. The SLQ is now my deepest silver and did it with the small coil! Very nice, and a good date too, congrats!:icon_thumleft:

Now that's a beautiful '25 SLQ! :occasion14:

Congrats,
Dave

That , my friend, was a deeeep one! Congrats. I love the design on the SLQ. One of my all time favorite coins to find

I love SLQs and I'm really liking the Nox, so what more can I say than GREAT FIND!!

that's awesome. It's interesting how much wear lady liberty has but the date is not worn, which is a rarity for standing libs

Gotta love that small coil, nice job brother. I got my trime at 8” with the 6” coil. Try running it wide open, it really gets deep!!

I’ve actually found more deep old coins with it than the 11”. I think it’s all the iron and junk that the 11” coil gets over. This narrows the interference down. That trime is awesome!

You are right, jewelryguy. Very rare to find a date on an SLQ with that much wear.

Thats deep glad you kept diggin any deeper you would have been finding Chinese coins lol Well done
