I was out this afternoon on a huge field with the farmers tale of a roman homestead in the southeast corner.... :tongue3:
Criss crossing the area with no metal finds roman related. There is evidence of roman pottery, just no lead or coins with only very few nails.

Lots of trash, a bit pottery, pipe bits, some buttons and a cauldron foot(?) and the coins of the day + a medieval Annular Brooch found within the first minutes on the Rainy Day Field. I stopped detecting for today with these. A complete annular brooch is a good find to stop the season with...

Thanks Colin, as long as the farmer stops the green waste trash the first one should be good in a couple years again. For now it's completely littered with foil, bottle tops and other stuff...

Yep, pretty sad you can only find coins that are 230 yrs old Lu. Better luck next time.
