The sun was shining today but it was -3c so I ventured out again. I go close to Lake Superior were the Mormon's used to have a big setup to move gear inland so horse related finds are always big.

First signal.....first hole 1876 Queen Victoria penny.

Looks like a base for an antique iron.

Congrats on the copper and other finds

Congratualtions on the nice finds! :occasion14:

I wonder if that horse shoe is for "snow or tough" working conditions? :dontknow:

Very interesting variety.
Congrats on the Queen Victoria Penny.

Your starting to sound a lot like the old rock and roll bands saying it's their last tour. :laughing7:

Well done on the snow/ice shoe and the LC.
Now the question is: Is this in fact your last tour sir?

My last hunt will be very soon, also getting really cold here in Sweden and the ground starting to get frozen, great finds btw!

Yep the roads are frozen here but in the bush the ground is still soft....but they are already calling for -17c tomorrow night, so that might just be the last of fall.

I've found a few similar in appearance; Showed them to an "oldtimer" and he said that type was for draft horses.. ie, plow horses and wagon team horses

More traction
