Went out with my son for a bit last night. Got my first half dollar (1974). Wish is was silver but will take it. Also thought I had found gold, was about the crap my pants when I first saw this in the ground. Turned out to be a reader digest token.

Nice finds. I have found 2 halfs while detecting. One was a silver Franklin and the other was a clad Kennedy. Both were great finds for me. Congrats on yours.
