I make sure they have a good layer of plumpness for winter.They hit the peanuts through out day,along with all the other goodies I throw out to them.

I give peanuts to the squirrels in the yard. I left the garage door open as I did a quick trip to the store. Pulling up in the driveway I squirrel come darting out of the garage. Sure enough it found the bag of peanuts on top of a shelf. There was a hole in the bag and peanut shells all about the floor. You'd think it would just nab a peanut and eat it elsewhere. but no it stays and gorges down as many it can on the spot til I showed up.
