Last Silver this year? And it's a big one!

Out for 5hrs today on the newly added field with a roman farm on it. We gridded another part of the field and came back empty handed.
A couple coins, barrel tap, pewter spoon handle...all stuff lost the last 200 years or so. Loads of roman pottery told us were in the right area until i found a LED torch, probably lost by a nighthawk. Time to change fields.
With the sun going down i only made three rows on a site i had good results the last years. Stumbled over two roman scrappies and eyeballed a big Silver before i even got my coil over it. It's the 6th big silver from this field and this part of it. Otherwise a strictly roman site i start thinking Hoard. I have to talk to the farmer.

Looking VERY promising Westfront! The possibilities you guys have across the pond are quite good in comparison to most of our USA hunting,but most of us still hit the 1800s anyway fairly regularly...if we're lucky! You are my kind of hunter...spending hours upon hours to find just one or two good older finds,and when that's what you hunt,nothing else will do. Excellent, and congratulations on some NICE finds!
