Been getting out and making a find here and there, but no silvers - I guess I have to make up for last week.
WC & I met up with Bob the day he hogged all the Mercs
, and I managed to dig my first ever real trade token. Of course I managed to wing it, too.
It's from Thomas Hennessy on N. Clark St. "This check and 10 cents good for a 15 cent drink". I don't know how old it is, but I know there haven't been any 15 cent drinks in a long time.

The next day, I went out to a park and when I got there, I saw another detectorist digging a plug. I introduced myself and met Justdigging50. It was nice to meet him! I only managed a couple of 20's wheats, but I got my first ever Chinese coin. It was deep, but I know I didn't dig that far!

Today, I got a chance to hit a demo house. Mostly clad and a couple wheats. I did get part of an old safety razor, part of an old lipstick, and a lead figure of a guy in suspenders holding a steering wheel.
I was remarking to Kermit a couple of weeks ago that I have never found a 3 Merry Widows tin. Then, I was going through my junk and found a muddy, rolled up foil thing. Turns out it was a Widows' tin, although one without the widows' names on it. The compact was from a hunt a week or so ago. I had forgotten to clean it up and post it.

Thanks for checking out my stuff! Good luck at Bob's hunt everyone!
