Late Night Hunt In Clover Field

Howdy Folks. Started about 4 in the afternoon for a couple hours and took a short break. Got a nice horse shoe before sundown. Found the usual brass bits, melted lead, another Model T coil thingy, another printing press thingy with someone's name, a cap and part of the tube neck, and various other odd stuff. I was getting tired but, really wanted a coin. Headed up to the river bank, It's really difficult to work in here for all the scrub brush.

I headed back and worked outside the field and finally scored the 1904 Indian Head Cent. That was close to 2:00 a.m. Yeah, I'm nutz. I should sleep well tonight. Probably with my camo and boots on! Thanks for stopping by. Kurios1

Congrats on finding the Indian Head and other interesting finds! I can relate to the late hours (although not MDing that late) and to hunting until at least one good find..Glad the penny showed itself to you. Nice patina.

The weather was perfect for hunting. Gentle breeze with just a light t-shirt and light button down camo shirt. There won't be many more beautiful days and nights like this I reckon.

My hours get really messed up some times. I ended up sleeping most of the day today. I'll probably hunt a little while this afternoon and tonight. I love night hunting as it's so peaceful and I believe my "senses" are better with less distractions. I do need to be careful not to overdo it.

Normally I am "content" with getting skunked but, not this night. Plus the weather was absolutely beautiful with just a light t-shirt and button down with a gentle breeze. That Indian Head had some iffy signals surrounding it in some tall grass. I might need to hit that spot to see if I can rescue a few more from there.
