This was a weekend hunt from over a month ago, so I don't know if I can post here. I knew my pics were going to come out sideways, so I was going to try opening them in photoshop and saving them to see if that would right them. Then, I got sidetracked with other trips.

Anyway, the highlight was the cufflink. I found the "T" one day and the "M" six feet away on the next day. Also, found a GIII and a nice variety of buttons.

The two rectangle pieces have prongs, so I guess they are leather ornaments. We have found about 12 of those on this site. Not sure what the real ornate fragment was.

It sounds odd, but one of my favorite finds was the small brass bar, at the bottom of the group photo. I think it's the part of a strap guide that you rarely find. I have 5 or 6 of the ovals with two holes, but this is the first companion piece that I have found.

Congrats on the nice relic hunt and cool old copper! :occasion14:

Nice hunt, clean too.

Beautiful silver linked buttons!

Lots of variety there. We don't find many buttons down here....clothes are not as prolific :laughing7:

You're on a rich, untouched, old site! Keep at it. Those are great finds!

Nice hits. Love the links.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

The George III coin is a great find, but the star find is obviously the cuff link. :hello2:
Nice that you found both sections.

Dave

Congratulations on the awesome finds. Good luck!

Great variety of coins, buttons and relics. I like that old copper, and the "links".

Thanks, Dave. I've found a couple of half cufflinks, and thought I had another one, when I first dug the "T." I couldn't believe when the other half came out of the ground, the next day.

We were hoping that the initials would match a possible land owner from the late 18th century, but so far, we haven't been able to find a connection.

Very nice finds. Congrats

I wonder if it was common to have monogrammed with one initial on each cufflink? They are a perfect pair so they have to have been one set.

This got me curious. With a quick search, I found three examples of engraved silver cufflinks with the initials separated between the two halves. One of them was posted on Treasurenet back in 2008.

Good stuff those monogrammed cufflinks are a really cool personal item to find! Looks like a great site!

Beautiful Linked Buttons.

Wowza I need a day like that. Well done
