Phil,
The only process I know of that'll do gold and paltinum is Aqua Regia. Even then, use extreme care in it's usage.

Gold could be easily leached with Cyanide solution and after it to be adsorbed in carbon when the carbon is loaded with gold it has to be disrobed with 1% hot NaOH solution to make the pregrant solution rich with gold then to be recovered with electrowinning system.View attachment close Loop.pdf
