I found this today while trying to locate a brickyard, abandoned sometime around 1880. I marked where it would be on a GPS map, but couldn't get to the actual place mark due to very overgrown thorn bushes everywhere. I also found an old leather river and some porcelain (while digging).

Anyone have an idea of the age of this seal, and maybe where it is from?

It had a much whiter patina, until I used a little bit too much soap on it.

Bale Seals were in used up through the 1800s which is probably when yours is from.
