lead ball of some sought

found it today on a old property I hunt,, also found a old fugio cent nearby seems to be lead with a piece of leather inside that goes through each side .probably weighs a pound or a little more , no scale .

Maybe was the clapper ball from an old cowbell?

Net weight maybe.. . but its like 20 miles from the ocean ,, and a cow bell or ox bell, I don't think it would be made out of lead.

Because of the large size, might have been a bola weight.
