something from the old world.found this a while back but got it up for sale now
its a lead seal ,that would have been attached to a document issued by the duke of venice
in this case i think he goes by the name of nicolo da ponte arond 1578\85
its venetian and shows st mark and a doge of venice kneeling

Nice lead seal

I have found Venetian hammered silver in the UK with that image on (St Mark & Doge of venice kneeling). They are called 'Galley Halfpennies' & came across in ships once a year to lend to British merchants.
