It has been carved. Looks like it might have been a Williams cleaner. Looks like you dug some cools stuff. Is that a Mass. button in the upper left corner???

Sure is but no back unfortunately. I sifted for it and nothing. Lots of gilt though. Here is a group picture of Sunday and Mondays finds.

It's a shame there is not back but it is still nice looking. All I can say is you are in the right spot. I hope it's not one of mine. The brass looks like it comes out nice too. I hope you get some more good stuff out of that site.

As it is pretty much deformed, I think a Cleaner bullet is as close as you are going to get. Monty
